Richland County Family Care

You Can Make a Difference!

Your involvement is an integral part of Richland County Family Care. Your Care Management Team strives to provide you with quality services, and in return you can provide important contributions: your knowledge, skills, and ideas. Here are just a few ways that you can help Richland County Family Care be as good as it can be:

  • Join a committee. Richland County Family Care is always looking for members and member representatives to serve on committees and governing boards. We are currently recruiting for two committees. Transportation is available for both.
    • QA/QI Committee (Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Committee): This group works with Family Care staff in running Richland County Family Care’s CMO quality program. This is a fun, rather informal group that will meet a minimum of two times a year.

    • CMO Advisory Board: This board reports to the Health and Human Services board, and advises Family Care staff on a variety of issues including business operations. This group is a bit more formally run and meets a minimum of four times a year.

If you are interested in joining either of these groups please call Penny at 608-647-8821 extension 273.
  • Complete paper and face-to-face surveys that evaluate Family Care and it’s service providers. An example of such a survey is the Member Outcome Interview.

  • Fill out a Comment/Suggestion Form (found at the back of your Member Handbook). Or write down your comments or suggestions on any piece of paper and send them to the Member Relations Coordinator at the address listed below.

  • Above all, keep your Care Managers (social worker and/or nurse) informed about how you feel things are going. Remember, as a member of Family Care you are the center of the team (consisting of you, your social worker, and nurse) that coordinates your care.

  • For further information on becoming more involved in Richland County Family Care, please talk to one or both of your Care Managers, or call the Richland County Member Relations Coordinator at 608-647-8821 extension 273.
