MEETING MINUTES

May 7, 2007

 

Item #1 Rasmussen called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Those present were Richard Rasmussen, Marilyn Marshall, Bruce Wunnicke, Carol Clausius, Betty Havlik, Harriet Pedley, Mary Storms, Virginia Wiedenfeld, Dena & Russell Shaw, Shawn Underwood, Bobbie Jo Dobbs, Richard Eberle, Dave Bangert, Ray Starnes, Jane Nee, Karen Koch, Kevin Koch, Barb Murphy, Dave Jelinek, Matt Slesarik, and Tom Everson.

 

Item #2 Motion by Marshall, seconded by Wunnicke to approve the publication and agenda. Motion carried.

 

Item #3 Motion by Havlik, seconded by Marshall to approve the minutes of the April 2 and April 23, 2007 zoning meeting as mailed. Motion carried.

 

Start of Public Hearing 9:02 a.m.

 

Item #4 Public Hearing rescinding the Richland County Non-Metallic Mining Ordinance adopted May 29, 2001 and adoption of a new Non-Metallic Mining Ordinance.

Item #5 The committee heard the petition of Karen Koch, seller and Kevin & Tarah Koch, buyers to rezone 5.00 acres from Agriculture/Forestry to Agriculture/Residential in Section 18 of Willow Township. Karen stated her son Kevin wants to purchase 5 acres and the home from her so they can renovate it and get financing from the bank. The outbuildings are not included in the sale just the home. Motion by Wunnicke, seconded by Clausius to approve the petition to rezone 5.00 acres from Agriculture/Forestry to Agriculture/Residential in Section 18 of Willow Township and pass it onto the next county board session. Motion carried. The next county board meeting is May 15th at 7:00 p.m.

 

Item #6 The committee heard the petition of Dave & Marcella Jelinek to rezone 5.00 acres from Agriculture/Forestry to Agriculture/Residential in Section 25 of Richland Township. Dave stated he would like to sell the house to his son but he will continue to run the farm.

 

Item #7 The committee heard the petition of Matthew & Miranda Slesarik to obtain a conditional use permit for replacement of an existing manufactured home of less than 24 feet wide that is required to be at least 1,000 square feet in size in Section 35 of Willow Township.

 

Item #8 The committee heard the petition of Dena & Russell Shaw to rezone 2.50 acres from Agriculture/Forestry to Residential-2 in Section 20 of Marshall Township.

 

Item #9 The committee heard the petition of Dave Bangert to obtain a conditional use permit to place a communication tower in Section 27 of Willow Township.

 

 

Item #10 The committee heard the amendment to the Richard Eberle preliminary plat creating a 10 lot subdivision in Section 1 of Dayton Township presented to the committee on April 2, 2007. The amendment if concerning a change in the location of the road.

Item #11 2006 Year End Report Motion by Havlik, seconded by Wunnicke to accept the final 2006 Year End Report and pass it onto the county board.

Item #15 There will be a meeting regarding Comprehensive Planning on May 23rd at 9:00 a.m. regarding final review. The next regular meeting will be Monday, June 4, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Motion by Wunnicke, seconded by Clausius to adjourn. Motion carried.
