Item #1 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rasmussen at 1:00 p.m.
Item #2 Motion by Holets, seconded by Clausius to approve the agenda and publication. Motion carried.
Item #3 The
committee heard the petition from Ron & Denise Ewing to rezone 6.05 acres
from Residential-2 to Agriculture/Residential in Section 17 and 20 of Orion
Township. Ron Ewing stated that their
property is presently zoned Residential where no farm animals are allowed and
they would like to keep their horses there.
They presently own over 5 acres, the minimum for Agriculture/Residential
where 4 animal units (2 horses) are allowed.
They presented their photos to the committee and showed where a portion
of their property along County Hwy O would be a good place for the horses to
keep the grasses down. Pedley stated
that the township has approved the
Item #4 Pedley reviewed the proposed 2010 budget with the committee. Motion by Rasmussen, seconded by Marshall to approve the budget as presented but not to include any increase in fees for the 2010 anticipated revenues and if the Finance Committee asks for additional revenues it must come back to the Zoning Committee for review. Motion carried.

Items #6 & #7 These agenda items were not discussed because no increase in fees were voted on.
