ADRC Disabilitiy Benefit Specialist
Richland County Health & Human Services is seeking an experienced social worker who would be responsible for providing benefits counseling and advocacy to individuals between the ages of 18-59 years who have a physical disability, developmental disability, mental illness and/or substance use disorders and for youth who are transitioning into the adult long-term care system. This position assures that these target groups receive information about, and assistance in, accessing the public and private benefits for which they qualify.
 
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field is required. State Social Worker certification or eligibility is required, as well as a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. The wage range for this 40-hr/week Social Worker position is $18.99-$19.85 per hour with county health, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
